Beverley Galaxy 21 restoration

What a lovely kit! This one came to me from a colleague in the trade. 22×14, 16×16, 13×9 classic rock size 3 ply mahogany shells, who needs a ludwig! Although Beverley can be looked at as the little cousin of Premier I have to say they are the same great quality. This kit came as raw shells and parts in crates (see the image carousel above) and was completely restored from top to bottom. The video above shows it all really and in conjunction with the Lokfast stands she really looks the business (please change YouTube settings to 1080p to see it in HD) . It’s also worth noting that although in the photos above it looks like a standard Cosmic 21 snare this is a COB version. Another lucky find!

Hers a list of what was done:

• All shells stripped and polished with a 3 stage process to remove a percentage of the yellowing
• All hardware soaked and polished
• Interior shells cleaned and sealed
• Hoops sprayed satin black and missing in-lay replaced
• Rebuilt with all moving parts oiled or greased
• Heads changed and new display head logo added
