Welcome to the ‘Vintage Drum Restoration’ website which will show you a selection of our services.
For the last 30+ years I have been tinkering & restoring vintage drums. Inspired by the likes of Len Howe / Eddie Ryan, who helped me source many a rare part. I found myself being asked to fix and restore old kits, hence the creation of this happy sideline to my day-job. Based ‘down south’ in Poole alongside the picturesque Jurassic Dorset coastline I offer a range of restoration services from wrapping and wood veneering to full kit restoration. I bought the Pearl 80s orphan build from Vintage Drum Restorations,
The drums were beautifully done, with its copper 60s swirl a real showstopper. Everywhere I play this kit I get lots attention. And it has that very distinctive 80s sound – I love this kit.
