Project Description
A long-standing client sourced a vintage Yamaha 1070s parallel action snare in steal. He liked the idea of a custom wood shell so after considering the options the final choice was a birch/maple mix core with a waterfall bubinga outer and inner ply.
We finished the shell with a satin oil inside and a vintage gloss lacquer for the outer with a gold waterslide decal. To finish inside was a custom label noting the construction. I’ll let the pictures do the talking…
