WFL orphan build

A nice little project kit: 22×12, 14×14, 12×8. The 12 was from the Ludwig Big Beat resto, the 14 from the Ringo tribute after I found a better donor and the bass came from eBay.

22×12 is a classic New Yorker spec drum and Ginger Baker (although I think his was 22×11 and 20×11). This is one of my favourite sizes as like Olympic 20x12s they have great response without any loss of umph. The bass drum came with lugs and the 12 was complete but the 14 needed all parts sourced. The finish is Delmar aged black diamond pearl (or grey diamond pearl) and really looks the part. I have uploaded two carousels of images just to show you how light affects the wrap and also the first bass display head which I made from a ludwig piano decal. This was swapped to a white head with the correct WFL logo when I was able to create the artwork.
